Subscriptions FAQ

What Are Comic Book Subscriptions and Pull Lists?

Comic book subscriptions, often called comic pull lists, allow collectors to reserve upcoming issues before release. Instead of searching for books after they arrive, your selected titles are automatically reserved and waiting for you.

Whether you're interested in Marvel subscriptions, DC subscriptions, independent comics, key issues, or hot new series, a pull list helps ensure you never miss an issue.

How Do I Set Up a Pull List?
  1. Create a customer account.
  2. Visit our Subscriptions & Pull Lists page.
  3. Browse upcoming releases and publisher catalogs.
  4. Click Subscribe on any ongoing series.
  5. Click Pre-Order for one-time purchases.

Once subscribed, future issues will automatically be reserved for you.

What is FOC (Final Order Cutoff)?

FOC (Final Order Cutoff) is the last date retailers can adjust orders with comic distributors.

To guarantee availability for key issues, first appearances, special events, and variant covers, we strongly recommend placing subscriptions and comic pre-orders before the FOC date.

Many comics are ordered specifically based on customer demand, making FOC one of the most important dates for collectors.

Can I Place Comic Pre-Orders Without a Subscription?

Yes. You do not need an ongoing subscription to place comic pre-orders.

You may reserve individual issues, one-shots, graphic novels, special releases, and select variant covers without subscribing to a series.

How Do Variant Covers Work?

Variant covers, incentive editions, ratio variants, and retailer-exclusive covers are often subject to limited availability.

Because pricing and availability can vary, these books may be reviewed individually and approved on a case-by-case basis.

If you are looking for a specific variant cover, please contact us before ordering.

When Will I Receive My First Comic Shipment?

New subscriptions generally require a minimum of three weeks before the first issue can be reserved.

This delay exists because distributors require orders to be submitted before FOC deadlines.

Depending on release schedules and your selected shipping frequency, your first shipment may arrive approximately 5–7 weeks after subscribing.

How Does Comic Shipping Work?

Customers may choose from weekly, twice-monthly, or monthly shipping schedules.

Every shipment includes free bag-and-board protection and collector-focused packaging designed to help ensure your comics arrive safely.

Invoices must be paid before shipments are released.

Do You Offer Marvel and DC Subscriptions?

Yes. We offer subscriptions for publishers including Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, Dark Horse, BOOM! Studios, Dynamite, IDW, Oni Press, and many others.

You can browse upcoming releases and subscribe to your favorite ongoing series directly from our Subscriptions page.
